An amazing story of a modern medical miracle was featured on MSNBC Tuesday.

Two-year-old Dallas Hextell was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when his parents started noticing abnormal motor development. Six months ago, Dallas was infused with stem cells from his own preserved cord blood. Five days after the transfusion, Dallas spoke his first word and waved. Now, he is accomplishing movements doctors never believed possible; he can walk without assistance, deliver a ball to a basketball hoop, and speak nearly as well as other kids his age.

Watch the video to learn more about Dallas, his procedure, and what it could mean for the future of cerebral palsy.
